Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

At Origin Natural Medicine, we are not able to take insurance. This way we are able to spend more time per appointment and take the time to personalize your treatment plan.

What are Discovery calls?

These consultations are reserved for brand new patients to Origin Natural Medicine. It is a way to ask any questions you may have about naturopathic medicine or voice your health concerns. We won't give medical advice during these appointments. They are strictly to determine whether you'd like to book an appointment. They are not required in order to book a new patient visit.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

We typically spend 60-75 minutes together talking about your concerns, your goals, and completing a holistic intake to include family history, typical diet, social history, past medical history etc. You can expect to get a treatment plan sent to you within 24 hours after your appointment.

Do you order labs?

Yes! We love to look at labs to help guide treatment. We can also order specialty testing such as a comprehensive stool analysis, mold testing, genetic panels, and autoimmune panels to name a few.

Do you offer in person appointments?

Currently, we do not offer in person appointments. Luckily, we can do everything needed through telehealth appointments. Stay tuned for in person appointments in the future.

How do telehealth appointments work?

There are both video chat and phone visits available. For new patient visit, we prefer to use video chat to formally meet you. For follow-up visits, it will be your preference. A link for a video visit will be sent to you the day before. For phone visits, you can expect a phone call from our office number at the time of your appointment.
